14-2-2015 NHL All-Star Skill Competitions
The annual All-Star event kicked off today with the skill competitions. Team North America and Team World competed in six different races and the fans got to see their stars shine.
Team World won the puck control relay with a team of Dmitry Kulikov, Marian Gaborik and Alexander Ovechkin.
Alexander Ovechkin of Team World won the fastest skater competition, beating Mike Green in the final.
Dion Phaneuf of Team North America won the hardest shot competition with a result of 88 MPH, beating Dmitry Kulikov in the final.
Tyler Seguin of Team North America won the accuracy shooting competition, beating Anze Kopitar in the final.
Jonathan Bernier of Team North America won the goalie competition (pass&score), beating Jacob Markstrom in the final.
Team North America won the breakaway relay with a team of Claude Giroux, Jonathan Huberdeau and Tyler Seguin.
The yearly clash between Team North America and Team World will take place tomorrow.
